Getting there: the article below outlines this island's usual ferry and flight routes. Timetables change with the season and sailings are cancelled in rough weather — always confirm the current schedule with the operator or the municipality before you travel.

Her name

The current island named by the National Geographic is officially named Suō Ōshima. "The dresser" is an old local name on the island.

Geography

The surrounding islands combine to form the Suō Ōshima Islands. Suō Ōshima is located on the Inland Sea, about a mile or two off the coast of main state. The third largest in the Inland Sea is Awaji Island and Shōdoshima. The island seems to have mountains on its way to the coast, and the flat is made up of shops, small pines, Kumuga and Fukuoka districts and so on. On the map, it's called Goldfish Island because it looks like a goldfish. The main districts on the island are the Kunaga, the Kokuta, the Kumiko, the Omama, and the Kumatsu's shop. From east of the island, you can hope for a clear day to Mount Ishiyama, four different countries. It's famous for its rich fish and cicadas in the Inland Sea. Ojijijido between Honshu and Honshu had a fast current and was considered an old source of water. Many fishermen are now good fishermen. The climate is mild, and the average temperature is above 15 degrees Celsius. In winter I feel colder than Ha Ni.

History

There are remains of the chain age and the fertility age. It's a long way from Japan to Japan to Japan to Japan to Japan to China. It also appears in the mythology of the country of "The Japanese Book" and "The Ancient Book." In the book The Japanese Book of the Year, it was thought to be the seventh of Isanami's islands and is the third of the six islands that were born following Oshima. It is thought to have been a key spot in the Inland Sea, which was an ancient main road. By the beginning of Kamakura, there were three mansions of the house house, the home of the beach house, and Ogawa was appointed as these landowners. In the event of the turmoil of Suu Suu Miu, there is a record of the construction of the castle in the island house of Shikoku. In room town, pirates appeared in the surrounding waters, and battles such as the Koshima people and the Shishima family were spread. Muraido, and the grave of Yoshiji in the village has been placed in his former temple. During the late Edo period, population growth increased. It is thought to be due to sweet potatoes growing and the spread of income. Kimi-sama set up his forces on the Hanaoka temple, set out to attack and detrepreciated the Confederate Army after landing. In the Meiji period, there were about 70,000 people and food was scarce. This led to many island immigrants overseas, and of the government's campaigned official immigrants to the kingdom of Hawaii, 3913 were from Suō Ōshima. (See also the Japanese immigrant Museum in Hawaii.)
